Welcome to Underwater World of Ireland.

And now, introducing as promised, just below the surface.

Why so shallow? Well, let me help you change your mind. Take a quick dip into my photo and video gallery first. Here you will find some evidence that the river actually runs deep…

Deep with colour, deep with vivid imagery, deep with rarely seen life.

My "About Snorkeling" page will give you the low-down on this great pastime and here you will find some of the reasons why I prefer the shallow water snorkel to scuba diving.

Don't hesitate too much, masks at the ready lets dive into my  >>> Gallery <<<

Briefly about your guide and this project:

My name's Victor. I live in Ireland, on the outskirts of Dublin.

Prior to arriving here in 1998 I could never have imagined how much I would have fallen in love with this island. From its green, rocky wilderness and powerful Atlantic coastline to its gleaming, mirror like lakes and chilly invigorating streams. For me, to breathe the pure air here is to breathe the air of life itself. I like everything that is related to wildlife, nature and especially open waters. Also I like photography, snorkeling and free-diving. And as I've discovered for myself Ireland can provide us with a unique opportunity to enjoy these activities. In the beginning of 2007 I decided to use all these hobbies for one project: to show the underwater world (shallow waters) of Ireland in picture and in video. As you can imagine I will have to travel to many different locations throughout Ireland, both freshwater and on the sea coast. This will be an on-going project with no real time frame to complete my plans. I'm trying my best, because the underwater world of Ireland is amazing. It's unique, and it has to be seen by all people. You're welcome to take part in this project if you're interested. More details regarding the participation you can find on my “Sponsors” page.

I would like to say special thanks to Brian Redmond’s Dance School, Dublin, Ireland

which has sponsored this project.
